Johnstown is one of the quieter plains towns in northern Colorado. It makes a perfect jumping-off point for many Colorado adventures, located less than an hour from Denver, Boulder, Fort Collins, and Rocky Mountain National Park.
The town has been quickly growing, but still maintains a small-town feel within the community. In 2020, there were 17,303 people residing in Johnstown, which is part of both Larimer and Weld counties. It sits at an elevation of 4,852' and is within the heart of the front range plains.
